Abstract

The study conducted evaluated dimensions of entrepreneurship such as teamwork, affiliation needs, proactivity, emotional intelligence, and achievement needs (persistence and resilience). A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving a survey of 417 students from more than ten different higher education programs. The results revealed that leadership skills are related to the desire to engage in entrepreneurship. However, critical areas for improvement were identified in proactivity and emotional intelligence, which are essential for the successful management of ventures and decision-making in uncertain contexts. By analyzing the entrepreneurial profile of the students, insights were gained to adjust and enhance educational programs, particularly highlighting the incorporation of business simulations that contribute to the development of soft skills and provide comprehensive training for students, equipping them to face labor market challenges and succeed in entrepreneurship.
